Wendy is one of my dearest friends that I have known since college. We have been thru a lot together and to now be moms together is so much fun. Russell, Wendy and Rusty's son, would watch Ella sleeping in her bucket and would keep calling out to baby Ella. Kids are so cute and entertaining, you don't even need tv, to laugh just little ones :)

Playground, Pool, and Cousins

The other night Daddy, Ella and I picked up Brandon and Samantha and, after dinner, decided to have some fun outside at a playground. It was such a beautiful day we were there for over an hour. While there, Ella went down the slide and swung for the first time. She loved it and we can't wait to bring her back.
Ella hanging out on the swing. She is such a big girl!
Ella decided that it was time for her to get a tan, just kidding. Brandon and Samantha love the pool so we thought that Ella was old enough why not. She did a fantastic job until I got the bright idea of putting her little footies in the water. Our little princess loves hot baths so the cold pool water was not a hit.
Ella (on the left), Reese (in the middle), and John (on the right) loved hanging out. They played together, laughed with each other and even spit up on each other. these cousins will be friends for life.

Cutting the cord
Ella enjoying her bed for the first time.
I have cut the cord. Last night, Ella slept in her bed for the entire night, for the first time. She was a champ and went right to sleep, I, however, had a few tears and then went to sleep. What is so funny is that when I was pregnant Greg and I discussed how long the baby would stay in our room. I said a few weeks and Greg said probably a couple of months. Daddy was right! I just can't believe that she is old enough to sleep in her room, she is growing up so fast!

Ella's First Vacation
Isn't the view from the cabin beautiful!
Ella taking a rest.
Ella has become a traveler. Daddy and I wanted to get away for a little mini-vacation so we asked Aunt Vickie and Uncle Richard if we could bring Ella to some cabins they own in Central VA. Needless to say Ella loved it. She was in such love with nature that Friday night she slept thru the night, for a total of 8 hours. Mama was in heaven!!! Saturday we went for a hike, which Ella slept for about 90% of the time but with the white noise of the falls I am surprised she was awake at all. Once we were finished being one with nature we decided it was time for some lunch and to go sight seeing. After lunch we found a little winery, a first for Ella, and had some fun with tasting different wines. Saturday night Ella was up at 1 but I didn't mind because I kinda like our alone time in the middle of the night. We headed home Sunday and all 3 of us took a nice long nap when we got home. Ella wants to thank Aunt Vickie and Uncle Richard for letting her commune with nature.
